Sitting in the hospital on my second week of late shifts and enjoying the calm before the next person with a sawed-off finger walks through the ER. I have a pretty cozy corner to work in, right next to the heater listening to the thunderstorm outside with some easy music playing in the background. It could be worse.

On another note, I signed the lease to my new apartment!! I can't even believe it. Finally found my space, and I'm daydreaming about it daily. It has been a very long time coming. Feeling thankful for all the people who told me to chill, and wait for that apartment I really want. Well, it happened. You can't ever check all of your boxes, but this one definitely hit most a lot. Moving day is in a few weeks!!
Life is good. And there is even going to be a kitten joining the family this spring. Adopting my first little love.
