After coming back from a few not so ideal weeks in Utah, it felt like a holiday in Freiburg. Once the good weather hits here, it is vacation mode. There is almost no reason to go anywhere during those warmer months. Even when you have busy days, cruising on your bike in the summer sun alone feels like there are no worries in life. Last night we drove up to a lake to go paddle board, that was followed by a barbeque on the beach. The night before we had lunch with our feet in the river, and the one before that we had a picnic for dinner and slept at the top of the Black Forest. You can still work a full-time job here, and get completely away from that in the evenings. I think that is one of the things I would miss most if I would be living the bigger city life in the US. I believe if you work hard enough for it, one can have some sort of summer vacation here too, even working an adult job.
