After driving through so many different landscapes, you wouldn't think another one is coming. Then all of a sudden the temperatures get cooler, and you are driving through a pine forest, with deer grazing in the green fields.
You eventually find a place to park your car among the masses, you walk to the edge of the amphitheater, and you look over.
What looks back at you still, surprises me.

You can always choose to be that tourist who pays the entrance fee, walks to the edge, gets the shot, and goes on their way to the next bucket list spot. I prefer getting as far away from those people as possible.
Get a little farther, get a little lost.
Lucky for us, we had the legs, the motivation and the time to get out there a little.
