I pulled a stupid stunt on my last day here.
Something I don't want to forget because I need to get a little more serious when it comes to time management.
YOU DON'T NEED TO DO EVERYTHING LAST SECOND.
The problem is these things tend to work out for me, but that doesn't mean I have to put myself through the stress of it. Every single time.
..
So, I decided to get to the airport exactly one hour before my flight.
I was listening to Google maps, and it said we would need 37 minutes to get there. Me being me I planned exactly for those 37 minutes.
We left the beach and hopped in the car.
I tried to cheat the app and found a few side roads to make the trip less of a detour.
We made it to the freeway, and everything was going smoothly.
We were cruising towards Faro, and my heart rate was just slowly rising.
Then about 15 minutes from the airport all traffic stopped.
HAHA there was an accident! (Nothing bad.)
No part of my plan.
We started moving along.
This ended up going on for a good 15 minutes, which of course threw off my timing.
We ended up getting to the airport 25 minutes before the gate closed.
My adrenalin was kicked up by now.
I was the person running around with my suitcase in the air.
Those seem to be the moments when everyone around you is taking their sweet ass time.
I ended up making it, which I really really didn't believe would happen this time.
I was in my seat.. in my wet bikini.
Eventually, when we got to cruising altitude, I hopped into the bathroom and decided to change into something more airplane appropriate.
I took off my swimsuit and left a little sand dune on the floor.
I had to laugh, I couldn't believe I had taken it that far.
Next time I will be a good responsible adult.
One of those adults who has time to read a book at the airport.
