May was not the most optimal month for a trip to Salt Lake City this year. The rain was out of control, and it was way colder than it should have been. Definitely did not anticipate that. I think I was also looking forward to a very different type of Utah spring. I knew there would be snow in the mountains, I just didn't think I wouldn't be able to hike the way I wanted to. I know people will say "you could have still hiked," but honestly climbing around mountains while slush is falling out of the sky isn't my thing. When the sunshine did come out though I was out the door.
Even this hike was cut short by a thunderstorm rolling in over the mountain behind us.
