New year, new changes. For me, that is always a new an exciting thing about it. It really does feel like starting fresh.
I want to do things because I truly want to do them, and not just because I always have or because that is the way you are supposed to do them.
I want to feel the motivation.
Even here, I don't need to post every experience. I want to post the photos that I can't wait to share, photos that inspire me to write something.

This was his last day in SLC.
We left Utah in the summer and came back in the fall.
A perfect Utah fall.
For one last hike, I wanted to find the most picturesque mountainside, and I think I did pretty well. We were alone up there, classic Utah weekday. The summer crowds always die down as the weather begins to get cooler, and the rains have a chance to surprise you.
After our last Utah hike together, we went to Silver Fork Lodge to warm up with some coffee on the deck. That's when the rain finally decided to come in. Sitting inside, catching a rainstorm from a cozy wooden lodge is how I would have imagined it in my head. We had a long lunch and just enjoyed the mood. Utah knew how to throw the perfect farewell.
