Cabo San Lucas

A beautiful day in Cabo...
We were trapped in our hotel room for two days waiting for the tropical storm/hurricane to clear out. After deciding not to make it three days we jumped on a bus and headed to explore Cabo. The Southern tip of the Baja Peninsula got some rain, and the water just kept coming down towards the coast. The streets were flooded with dirty overflowing sewage water, and it just kept on rising.
We needed to cross an intersection to get back to our bus stop after lunch, and stepping in the water was not an option for me. There were some locals trying to make money off the tourists by carrying them across it. I didn't want to cross the street like that, so we decided to try to go around. Trying to avoid it turned into a tour around the city. We just kept following the semi-dry sidewalk for what seemed like an hour just to try and cross the street. At one point the whole situation was just funny. We were following this street that had turned into a river, up into the suburbs of Cabo. Eventually, we managed to cross one street and head back towards the center, which was even deeper in the muck now. In the end, we decided to get some plastic bags for our feet, and we made our way through it. We finally caught our bus and we were sewage free.
Win-win.
