The day we bought the most locally pressed apple cider you can find.
A really clever person decided to put a vending machine right along the hiking trail towards Sölden. It's filled with all the local black forest products, plus the products this farm makes. Cooled apple cider straight from their garden was in there staring right at us. There wasn't anything I wanted more at that moment. I feel like we had been talking about every cold beverage on the planet that last hour and then this magic machine just appeared.

Those were some of the last semi-warm days of our Freiburg fall. Now I'm busy making a list in my head of all the day trips I want to make around here. All the bike tours, all the local restaurants, all the good things this place has to offer on those warm days. Spring can't come soon enough.
