What is this life?
I finished my last internal medicine exam and jumped in the car.
It started with an amazing scenic drive through Switzerland and we ended up in Italy.
We were on the northwestern coast of Italy.
Village after village dropped on this beautiful coastline.
Corniglia ended up being home base.

On the first morning, we decided to hike towards Vernazza.
Midway we found the perfect spot to enjoy the last taste of summer and the warm Mediterranean.
It was the first week of October and I was swimming in the sea.
And it was WARM!
And it was WARM!
There were so many moments where I had to stop.
Stop and just take in everything that was happening to me.
Where I was.
What I was doing.
What I was eating
and smelling
and experiencing.
And who was sitting next to me through it all.
I'm going to try my best not to take these small moments in my life for granted.
