Anyway I went out for the first time last night, the pubs and bars were all pretty packed, so were all the restuarants. We found the street that was just lined with them, and we probably looked crazy walking up and down about five times before we decided where we would actually go in. We found one that still had sitting room. There was a birthday party going on across the room, and the funniest thing happened... they sang happy birthday. "Happy birssday zu you! Happy birssday zu you!" Listening to germans sing happy birthday in english should be a youtube video. We went to another bar/restaurant after, and we sat at one of those large beer garden tables across from some crazy german men with their one liter german beer mugs. After we sat their for a while we went off to find food. I had a doner kebab, I love those things. I want a rotating slab of lamb in my room. I am not eating out anymore mom and dad, I just had to have my kebab. The turkish man at the kebab place thought that Adam, Candace, and I needed chili in our kebab. It was so spicy tears were streaming down my face, he felt so bad he bought us all a bottle of water. Mineral water though.. I am not the biggest mineral water fan. Eventually the burn spread to the outside of my mouth and my whole face was on fire. Candace was sweating like crazy cause of the spice, and Adam looked like he was going to cry. That will be the last time we get chili in our food. We headed home after that, the only problem was there was snow everywhere and it was still falling like crazy and we still had 30 minutes until our bus. We started walking home, which was an awful idea. I ended up asking someone to call us a cab, and we waited in an elevator. It was a glass elevator and it was warm, we hung out in there for about five minutes before the cab came. The brand new silver mercedes taxi came to pick us up, and the driver was listening to classical music. Imagine something like that happening anywhere else in the world.
I woke up to even more snow this morning. Fairytale city looks quite cute with a white layer over it. It means I won't be leaving my apartment though. So much for going to Ikea today, but that is why I will be studying. Here is a picture of what things loooked like this morning, the city at night.. before the snow, and Candace and I waiting in the elevator.
