Island number 1 - Kos.
That first morning I woke up with an ear infection, so things didn't exactly go as planned. I dodged the wind and tried to keep my head out of the water while he thankfully took advantage of both.

We made the best of the situation, and one of my favorite moments of those first few days was our drive up to Zia. It is higher up in the surprisingly green hills of this very dry island. We thought we were driving to a small taverna, but it ended up being a full-blown tourist attraction. There was a town up there. Of course, we did our thing, hiked above the tourists, and had our tzatziki, olives, and wine with the goats catching the perfect sunset.
